Lesson Learned

Ursula tells stories from her years growing up so vividly, I was instantly engaged. At the time I read this book, my daughter turned 2 years old. It’s the time when they begin to show their personality and character more than you expect! Along with the cute and adorable moments came the sobering reality that I, as her father, am responsible for building a solid foundation in her character, values, and habits. Reading this book and seeing the impact that these timeless Biblical truths and fatherly lessons had on Ursula, was what I needed to give me hope that I too could make an godly impact in my daughter’s life. This book was a treasured reminder that the most important part of the legacy I leave to my daughter is a strong faith foundation.

Ursula’s gifted storytelling opened up the Book of Proverbs to me in such a sweet and personal way. Through both laughter and tears, I found myself relating the day’s Proverb to my own life’s circumstances while experiencing both the joy and sometimes struggle shared in each day’s devotional.
